The Vagina Monologues
First performed in 1996 from pieced together and fictionalized interviews, Eve Ensler's epic taboo-breaker The Vagina Monologues has become a classic, leading to a worldwide movement to stop domestic violence and support and encourage women all over the world.
But has anything changed?
From princesses and pink toys to congresswomen getting kicked off of legislative floors, it's clear that Ensler's message of empowerment for women is as relevant now as ever.
Using their signature multi-disciplinary approach and innovative staging, Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble and Fulton Street Collective revolutionize Ensler's time-honored theatrical work by incorporating new monologues, an art exhibit, contemporary danceand even an aria.
Come celebrate your V-Day by seeing The Vagina Monologues again, but different.
