Kevin Brewster Quartet

Kevin Brewster, saxophone, has toured locally around West Michigan performing with local ensembles and his own band. Originally from Grand Rapids, he is currently a second year Jazz Studies major at Michigan State University. Kevin is currently studying with Walter Blanding and has also studied with Bob Nixon, Joe Lulloff, Diego Rivera, and Vincent Herring. Kevins latest life changing achievement was performing with the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra directed by Gerald Clayton and performing alongside Christian Sands and Immanuel Wilkins at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 2021 . His latest project, For The Culture, represents his upbringing as an African American and expresses the culture, injustice, and inequality that the black community deals with daily.
