About The Rayburn Brothers
Americana singer-songwriter Craig Rayburn has been making waves in the local music scene in various incarnations for many years. His recent project with brother Keith The Rayburn Brothers intertwines graceful sibling harmonies with a rough-hewn folk-rock sound. The Rayburn Brothers deftly combine acoustic and electric instruments, playing songs ranging from heart-rending ballads to foot stomping rockers. They each bring their particular style to the mix, creating a soulful and eclectic mix of music; from Americana to rock, to alt country.
Craig (vocals) and Kevin (Dobro, slide guitar) have teamed up with a band of Santa Cruz musiciansJimmy Norris (drums), Nick Heinz (lead guitar), Kevin Taylor (keys), Richard Tackland (bass), and Eliza James (vocals) that serves up a soothing blend of evocative vocals and adroit instrumentation that effortlessly flows from folk to blues to country to rock.
About Michael Gaither
Michael Gaither was raised on the central California coast and takes the "write what you know" idea to heart, wrapping story songs around small-town life with humorous takes on the everyday. He turned to songwriting after a background in journalism and a narrow brush with standup comedy. (He sold jokes to Jay Leno. A long time ago. Back when Jay Leno was still funny.) Michael has released three CDs of original material, all of which have received international airplay. Locally his music can be heard on KKUP, KZSC, and KPIG radio.
