Join us as we visit stormwater management green infrastructure projects in Southeast Queens and Brooklyn. We will be visiting:
Right-of-Way bioswales and infiltration basins in South Ozone Park
Bluebelt installations at Baisley Pond Park and Springfield Park
Greenpoint Public Library with multiple green infrastructure practices (tentative)
We will have representatives from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and the Brooklyn Public Library to share the details of the projects.
The tour is intended for natural resources managers, landscape architects, architects, researchers, students and others with an interest in green infrastructure and stormwater management.
The bus will depart from and return to the NYC Soil & Water Conservation District at 121 Sixth Avenue, Manhattan. Box lunch will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: the first stop in South Ozone Park involves walking several blocks.
