"Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils sound like they made a serendipitous wrong turn on their way to the juke joint and wound up in a countrypolitan cathedral instead. It's beautiful and ever so haunting..... It's honky-tonk with a little less honky. It's atmospheric yet immediate and approachable. It packs a wallop - Rochester City Newspaper
Jennifer cut her teeth on gospel before hitting the gritty Detroit area bars that set her career in motion. Before long, she joined forces with Dylan Dunbar and they've logged hundreds of thousands of tour miles since as a duo and with the band, acquiring accolades and growing a fan base along the way. Notably, Jennifer was tapped recently by Grammy Winning Producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Was, Not Was, Bob Weir and Wolf Bros) to perform in his All-Star Band after catching his ear.
Dylan Dunbar spent his teen years refining his chops in local blues joints, moving on to serve as lead guitarst for W.C. Handy award winners Chef Chris and Johnny "Yard Dog" Jones, country artist Whitey Morgan, and more recently, Grammy Award Winning songwriter Kendell Marvel. His playing style and soulful slide work are evocative of they heyday of Muscle Shoals, Stax and Texas Blues, complimenting Jennifer's broad vocal range and unique sound that echoes influences ranging from Linda Ronstadt to Big Mama Thorton. www.jenniferwestwood.com

Kate Hinote is an award-nominated Detroit singer and songwriter performing predominantly original material she has co-written for her various projects, including Alt-Rock band, The Blueflowers, which she has been fronting for the last 10+ years. Hinote has a voice thats both cinematic and operatic, a mood-setting, mellifluous intonation that fits inside candle-lit lounges, late summer night feverdreams, or as a torch song from a surreal soundtrack.
The Kate Hinote Trio is a contemporary folk ensemble and features Hinotes longtime Blueflowers bandmate, David Johnson, on guitar and Matthew Parmenter (Discipline) on violin. John Sinkevics of Local Spins and WYCE in Grand Rapids, MI, describes the trio as a new indie-folk/prog-folk trio which manages to not only retain and showcase Hinotes haunting, mesmerizing vocals but centers them in a fetching, gorgeously arranged acoustic pillow.
In addition to performing original material written by both Hinote and Parmenter, individually and collaboratively, the Trio performs select modern and retro covers, including a handful of songs by other Detroit-based songwriters. Those songs are among those featured on their debut album, Near, recorded at Tempermill Studios in Ferndale, MI and released in March 2021.
Near provides an introduction to the Trios live sound, combining brooding, intimate and reflective moments, with drama that arrests ones attention. https://katehinote.com/
