Ukulele Fingerpicking Foundation
Add fingerpicking to your ukulele skills and you can add a whole new dimension to your playing. Add texture to songs, make your fingers more nimble for chord melody techniques, add some twang to those bluegrass tunes!
Fingerpicking takes time to get into your fingertips. With the drills and skills we cover in this class, you'll be well on your way to mastering a versatile fingerpicking pattern, or "roll," that you can use in many genres.
In this 1-hour workshop, we'll cover: - Holding the uke - how you hold it can make a huge difference in the ease of playing
- Two rolls that work well to train your fingers to be quick, accurate, and responsive to a song's melody - from there, other rolls will come much more easily.
- Drills and songs that help us along our learning path
You will get the most out of this class if you can switch easily among the following chords with relative ease: C, D, F, G, G7, Am. We don't cover baritone chords in this class, but the principles apply.
Led by "Ukulele Clare" Innes, who has taught hundreds of students to play the ukulele with joy and confidence. For more information, visit https://www.ukuleleclare.com.
