"Mary and Me" by Irene Kelleher
"Mary and Me" follows fifteen-year old Hannah Brennan, an Irish teen who visits a Magdalene grotto to pray to the Virgin Mary for help on a math exam, and finds a sympathetic ear from the mother of Jesus. When she discovers she is pregnant, she returns to the grotto for guidance and strength. "Mary and Me" is inspired by the tragedy of Ann Lovett, a fifteen-year old girl who died after giving birth to a baby in a Magdalene Grotto in 1984 in rural Ireland. Featuring Emily Karel as Hannah.
Net proceeds to benefit Reproductive Freedom Fund of New Hampshire and Tides for Reproductive Freedom.
