Grand Mothers of Invention & Mushroom, a benefit for the Wild Honey Foundation
September's Wild Honey Backyard show! The legendary Grand Mothers of Invention & Pat Thomas's eclectic improvisational Mushroom will take the stage for the Wild Honey Foundation's ongoing effort to aid autism organizations and provide aid to members of the music community in need. MUSHROOM For over 25 years - the psychedelic jazz-rock collective Mushroom (helmed by drummer Pat Thomas) has collaborated with the likes of Kevin Ayers of Soft Machine, Daevid Allen of Gong and members of Faust and Tortoise. Their instrumental grooves are fun, not abrasive. The current line-up includes Wild Honey's own Willie Aron, Victor Krummenacher (Monks of Doom, Camper Van), John Kruth, Juan Gomez (Human Hands), David Brandt, and Marc Weinstein of Amoeba Records.
WILD HONEY FOUNDATION: Since 1994, WILD HONEY FOUNDATION, a 501c3 non-profit, has produced concerts, film screenings, online fundraisers, and live stream events to benefit autism treatment/research and members of the music community in need.
