Jeffery Broussard and The Creole Cowboys
A Mardi Gras Dance Party with
Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys
Zydeco Dance Music Echoing the Creole Past, Charting Zydeco's Future

Featuring the fiery accordion, fiddle wizardry and soulful vocals of its namesake leader, Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys deliver great, pack-the-dance-floor renditions of Creole classics as well as their own dynamic brand of contemporary zydeco.
Born in Lafayette, LA, Jeffery is one of the most influential accordionists and vocalists in modern Zydeco music and he continues to be one of the genre's most dynamic performers. He has continually been an innovator, beginning his career with traditional Creole Zydeco music playing drums in his father's band, Delton Broussard & The Lawtell Playboys. During this time, Jeffery was exposed to some of the great Creole fiddle players, including the king of the zydeco fiddle, Calvin Carrière.
Jeffery has retained those precious melodies and songs he heard at home, at social gatherings and on the bandstand. He has a range seldom seen in  zydeco -from traditional songs from the old masters to originals, single note and triple-note accordion to fiddle.
As a leading member of Zydeco Force, an influential band at the forefront of the nouveau zydeco movement, his accordion and vocals defined this new style of Creole music, incorporating the soulful sounds of R&B into contemporary zydeco music and dance.
With his Creole Cowboys, Jeffrey continues to share his rich musical heritage with contemporary flair and expertise, inspiring new generations of Creole zydeco fans. He was named "Accordionist of the Year" in 2007 in the Zydeco Music & Creole Heritage Awards, and dubbed "one of the greatest accordion players to ever grace our beautiful Creole culture and, for that matter, the world" by Don Cravins, the mayor of Opelousas, Louisiana.
