AAJA Seattle Lunar New Year Banquet and Silent Auction
Please join us in celebrating the Year of the Horse at our annual Lunar New Year Banquet and Silent Auction!
Each year, AAJA Seattle holds this banquet to celebrate the start of a new year. The banquet is the chapter's largest fundraiser.
Silent auction proceeds will go toward the Northwest Journalists of Color scholarship, which has supported more than 100 college students since the mid-1980s.
The silent auction will feature great items from the Seattle Symphony, Teatro Zinzanni, a one-of-a-kind photo of rock legend Eddie Vedder and much more! We'll also be auctioning off some delicious cakes and pastries in our annual Dessert Dash.
This year, the banquet will be held in Seattle at *O'Asian Kitchen.

In addition to all of this, Seattle singer/songwriter Susy Sun will also be performing! Sun is a classical pianist and writes and composes all original music herself. After its release in October, her album, Wanderlust EP, caught the attention of national music media that have highlighted her as a shining up-and-coming artist to watch with her refreshing sound and music talent. You don't have to be a journalist or Asian to attend, so please, encourage your friends and colleagues to attend. The more the merrier!
Discounted pre-sale tickets will be available until Jan. 24 at 5 p.m. After that, tickets will be $50 for adults and $25 for students, so get your tickets early and save!
*O'Asian offers FREE PARKING. The parking garage entrance is located on Columbia Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue. Your parking ticket must be validated to receive the complementary parking. Please have the parking ticket validated by O'Asian staff before leaving the restaurant.
