L TRAIN
sarAika presents L Train, a 38 min contemporary/conceptual dance performance, divided into 7 acts with different themes, involving 6 dances, a narrator, MTA recordings, and spoken words. The choreography is based on partnering, floorwork, improvisation, storytelling, and street style influences. L Train speaks about us about the uncomfortable common sensation that we are not in control. Even if one moment, right now, is precious, it will not last forever. Everything is subject to change. Where is the stability? At the end, life seems like the L train line: everyone goes in the same direction, but nobody has the same destination.

Emerging Artists returns with their one-of-a-kind festival. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters; by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights; by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
NO REFUNDS will be granted.
