Rising rap duo, The Hoodies, have been grinding from the ages of 8 and 4 years old. Older brother Eben E-Class Nettles, 23, began rhyming before hitting double digits, and passed on this talent to his younger brother Umar Young Poppa Abrams, 15, who was free-styling before he could even form sentences. Not only are the two seasoned rappers, theyve branded themselves in a way that reminds us we need to do better. Their namesake stems from reclaiming a symbol demonized by law enforcement in the hopes of highlighting the oppressed, those inside the hoodies. After the unjust killing of Trayvon Martin, brothers Eben and Umar became E-Class and Young Poppa and the The Hoodies were born.

Theres no denying these two have dedicated their lives to the rap game, mastering their craft through their In The Whip freestyles and showcasing these talents on Hot97 with Funk Flex which garnered over 2.6 million views. After collaborating with Jadakiss and Styles P. And appearing on Ellen, the duo continues to share their talents and spread positivity through their music. The Hoodies upcoming release Where Should We Land, is their long-awaited debut EP. The 8-track EP is an introduction to the Hoodies lives as well as a commentary on the trials and tribulations black youth experience.
