THE CODE @ SANDBOX! Staged reading to benefit Miami Beach Democratic Club
Michael McKeever's hit play, THE CODE shines a light on a time when the topic of LGBTQ identity was considered so scandalous that people's livelihoods were jeopardized for even discussing it. No, we aren't talking about modern day Florida, this is a play about 1950s Hollywood. Because of all the uncomfortable parallels between yesterday and today, the amazing cast (Michael McKeever, Tom Wahl, Gabriell Salgado and Mia Matthews as Talulah Bankhead) is reuniting with director, Christopher Renshaw after their acclaimed, sold out run in Fort Lauderdale for a ONE NIGHT ONLY performance in Miami Beach to raise money for the Miami Beach Democratic Club on Sunday, August 14 at the SANDBOX Theater (right behind the SAND BAR 6752 Collins Ave. MB, FL 33141.) Doors open at 6:30p. Show starts at 7:00p.
