Ukulele Deep Dive: Somewhere Over the Rainbow - IZ style

Deep Dive classes take us beyond simple strums and into techniques that enhance the song -- that help you make the song your own. Learn how to find the rhythms, move easily from chord to chord (even the hard ones!), tweak the groove, add embellishments, and more. This online class is interactive. We share ideas, field questions, and practice fresh ideas, all while sharing laughter and observations.

We'll explore various strumming patterns you can use in this song - from basic to tropical and reggae. You'll get the most out of the class if you can move with relative ease among these chords: Am, B, B7, C, D, Em & G, and be able to maintain a relatively steady basic strum. Don't have the bar chord down yet? Don't worry. We'll cover that, too.

NOTE: We don't cover baritone chords in this class and it's geared for high-G tunings, but the basic principles apply to all instruments. This class is online and live through Zoom, so there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get help. Geared for adults ages 18+.
