Waterfront Watercolor Workshop
Spend a picturesque evening aboard the tall ship, Gazela, painting a scene of the Delaware River, under the direction of artist-in-residence Brooke Lanier. We will focus on color mixing, brushwork, and strategies for planning a successful plein air painting. This three-hour workshop is appropriate for painters of all levels of experience. With such a wealth of interesting things to look at, participants are invited to select a scene with a level of complexity appropriate for their skill level. Come for one night or sign up for multiple classes! Workshops will be held every other Thursday evening from 5:30-8:30: August 18th, September 1st, September 15th, September 29th, and October 13th. Worried about the days getting shorter? Don't worry, we will shift our focus from the landscape towards still life paintings of the ropes, chains, and structures of the ship itself!
