Ensemble 212 presents Music for Chamber Ensembles
Ensemble 212 opens the new year with an exciting concert featuring guest violist Toby Appel, the music of Felsenfeld, Honegger, Ke-Chia Chen, and Felix Mendelssohn.
The program opens with last season's Composer in Residence Daniel Felsenfeld's Thursday Night Overture followed by Honegger's evocative Pastorale d'été written during his Summer holiday in the Alps and the World Premiere of Composer in Residence Ke-Chia Chen's new version of her Viola Concerto "The Desires" scored for chamber ensemble with renowned violist Toby Appel. Three musicians from Ensemble 212 (also known indepently as Trio Venia) will perform Mendelssohn's masterful Piano Trio in C Minor.
