It will take place on Friday, August 26th from 7:00 to 11:00pm at Crazy Pinz entertainment center in Fort Wayne, IN. Bowling ends at 10pm, but other activities continue until 11pm. Due to renovations at Crazy Pinz mini golf will not be available this year, but please check out the new zip line feature at the rope course!
Bowling For Rhinos is a nationwide bowl-a-thon where 100% of the proceeds are used to protect rhinos, their habitats, and those species that share their habitats. Bowling for Rhinos provides keepers with an avenue to raise not only funds but awareness for these endangered animals and habitats. It is a venture that encourages a community to support conservation worldwide in a time when it is desperately needed. Rhinos and many other animals that share their habitat have become endangered due to numerous threats such as habitat loss and poaching. Bowling for Rhinos supports three main conservancies: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, International Rhino Foundation, and Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. These three conservancies focus on community education, habitat preservation, and security to give rhinos and other animals the fighting chance they deserve. On March 24, 2022 a female Sumatran Rhino calf was born at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Indonesia. The birth of this calf is significant and brings the total number of Rhinos at the sanctuary to 8 individuals. It is estimated that there are roughly 80 total Sumatran Rhinos left, making it the second most endangered species of Rhino. To celebrate this amazing milestone we made the Sumatran calf part of our logo this year! Complete tshirt design and prices coming soon! You can order your shirt at a later date using this website or we will have printed forms at the zoo. If you are unable to get a paper form you can email us at littleturtleaazk@gmail.com
