A set of free workshops are being offered by GenRyu Arts as part of Japanese Cultural Month. These workshops will be held in San Francisco's Japan Town and will provide an introduction to Japanese Cultural Arts.
- Shamisen sessions Tuesdays August 16th, 23rd and 30th 6pm to 7pm
- Odori Japanese Dance Thursdays August 18th and 25th 6pm to 7pm
- Kumi daiko drum Tuesday & Thursdays August 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th and 30th 7pm - 8pm
All workshops will be held at the Japanese Center West Mall in the Dandelion Room. Workshops are free but will require registration through Brown Paper Tickets as each session is limited to 10 participants due to the size of the room.
