Summer Holiday Childrens' Workshops at OK Grow
This is the signup link for all of our Summer holiday activities at OK Grow.
Please ensure that you select the correct date from the drop-down menu.
1st August 2-4pm - Bug Hunting and Bug houses A fun workshop to get up close to the crawly, slimy, buzzy world of bugs and build up our scientist skills. We'll spend the first part of the workshop looking for bugs and filling out our bug bingo charts, and the second half making a bug house for you to take home. OK Grow is bursting with hundreds of different kinds of plants in August, which attracts plenty of weird and wonderful bugs for us to discover.
3rd August AND 12th August 2-4pm - Treasure Hunting and Crown Making A silly and exciting workshop for pirates, storytellers, nature princes and princesses. We will be foraging different plants from around OK Grow and using them to make nature crowns and clay creatures. Due to demand, this workshop will be running twice.
12th August 2-4pm - Painting and Printing with natural materials A creative workshop for nature and art lovers. Learn the ancient Japanese art of Hapa Zome - using a mallet and a white sheet to create beautiful patterns from leaves and flowers. Decorate your design with paint, sewing and natural treasures that we'll find together around the garden. (This workshop includes using mallets so it wouldn't be suitable for children under 6)
NB all of these workshops are free, but places are limited so be sure to book in advance.
*AGE LIMIT* All ages are welcome, but children under 8 will need to be accompanied by a parent. There will be a shaded area for parents to sit down whilst the workshops are running. The Painting and Printing workshop is not suitable for children under 6.
*QUESTIONS* Please answer all questions on the booking page in order to secure your place.

OK Grow is partially soil and partially flat concrete. The ground is very uneven in some places. A gravel path runs from the entrance through the garden and on to the flat concrete area.
