XTZ - Xavier, Trio Oud To Joy, and Zuill
Zuill Bailey, Grammy-Award winning cellist, will join Xavier Foley, double bass for the second night. Xavier is known for communicating his virtuosity and passion for music on the double bass which is rarely presented as a solo instrument. He has won many prizes, notably a prestigious Avery Fischer Career Grant and the Sphinx Competition, an organization that provides support to young Black and Latinx string musicians. Foley graduated from the Curtis institute of Music with degrees in composition and performance. He will perform a program that includes Bach and arrangements by Foley.
Trio Oud To Joy returns to the September programs by popular demand after becoming audience favorites during BachFest July concerts. After these performances, the trio members move to Bahrain, Berlin, and New Orleans.
