Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys
Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys setup like a bluegrass band, but they're not quite bluegrass music, or classic country. The description that best fits? "Hillbilly Rock 'n Roll". The band engages audiences and deliver driving beats, beautiful picking and Jim's masterful unique vocals deliver lyrical stories we can all relate to. The Railroad Boys will have you traveling back in time and feeling like you are part of one big down home family . Come for a night of music that fits our mountain town and 1930's theatre.
Based out of Albany, Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys are an upstate favorite with popular albums and years of performing live at venues large and small. They have appeared four International Bluegrass Music Association festivals that all have a history of being voted festivals of the year: Wintergrass, Seattle (WA); Joe Val Boston (MA); Podunk Hartford (CT), Grey Fox in Oak Hill (NY); and in addition, The Railroad Boys were selected to fill a coveted spot in IBMAs 2013 Bluegrass Ramble in Raleigh, NC. The band has had the honor of appearing on the Music City Roots Live from The Factory PBS television broadcast and are looking forward to a return date soon. The band was honored to have been featured in a full length profile article in the February 2016 issue of the highly respected Bluegrass Unlimited magazine.
