JOEY "COCO" DIAZ (@madflavor) has been out making waves all over the comedy entertainment scene. With television, blockbuster films, stand-up shows across the globe and his top comedy podcast, "The Church of What's Happening Now" - he just keeps it coming.
With a long list of credits to his name, Joey started off performing in Denver for "tough" crowds while serving a short stint at the local correctional facility. Once he realized his talent for making people laugh, and of course after his release, he took to the comedy club stages and never looked back.
Today Joey continues to make huge strides in Hollywood with television, podcasts and film roles galore. Most recently he performed with Robert DeNiro in the Christmas 2013 blockbuster "Grudge Match" and was previously seen in, "Spider-Man 2", "Taxi", "Analyze That" and the film in which he stole everyone's heart, the remake of "The Longest Yard" with Adam Sandler. He's graced the small screen in episodes of Comedy Central's "Secret Stash", Gabriel Iglesias' "Stand Up Revolution" and as the headliner for Showtime's "Payaso Comedy Slam."
But it may very well have been your ear that Joey caught before you ever saw his handsome face. He quickly became and remains the fan favorite guest on the hugely popular, hit comedy podcast, 'The Joe Rogan Experience' and found great success with his #1 comedy album "It's Either You Or the Priest" dominating both the iTunes and Billboard charts upon its release.
Being on the forefront of the comedy scene, Diaz recognized podcasts as the future in his field and joined the ranks of the most popular podcasting comedians with his original broadcast, "The Church of What's Happening Now". The legions of loyal "Coco" and "Church" fans can attest to the funniness that Diaz always delivers. Yes, he is the voice and mind behind the "Church of What's Happening Now".
