The Seattle-born composer Paul Chihara spent his childhood in Minidoka, Idaho at an internment camp for Japanese Americans. Artistic Directors Richard ONeill and James Garlick present the world premiere of a new duo that Chihara has written expressly for Music on the Strait. Felix Mendelssohns vivacious D minor Piano Trio and Edward Elgars romantic masterpiece, his Piano Quintet in A minor, conclude our 2022 season!
