*** About Blue Film Fest: ***
In collaboration with PinkLabel TV and the Northwest Film Forum, the Blue Film Fest presents three days of porn screenings from August 12-14, including queer, trans, and gay smut from the 1920s to 2022. The festival includes a rope social on Saturday (use your imagination :-) ), and a Sunday market where purveyors of fine and freaky delicacies will share their wares. Come meet one of the kinkiest, most creative communities in the Northwest!
** In case you couldnt tell, this program features explicit sexual content and is intended for audiences 18+ **
What's in a name? Blue was a common euphemism for erotica for a long time. Andy Warhol made Blue Movie in 1969. Blue has been aligned with morality laws in the 1700s, jailed sex workers, and smutty songs in the 1800s and the covers of 1980s adult video tapes. Depending on the source, a different history, or myth, is the cause of the connection.
We chose the blue as part of our new event title to play with a once-common euphemism and centuries of histories throwing a finger at the current regressive hold on the color. We use it to connect the current wave of queer, trans, and experimental porn to the vintage queer smut well be screening all weekend.
About ScumTrust Productions: Scumtrust Productions was co-founded by a nonbinary queer artist couple. Since 2017, weve been based in south Seattle, collaborating with erotic art creatives from all over the country making porn, film events, and ritual art. Our short films have screened in over fifteen cities in North America and half a dozen cities in Europe.

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Executive Director Cara Mia Harris at caramia@nwfilmforum.org
