TRACY VERNON -------------------------- "Have I become crusty Mrs. Krutchmeyer, the teacher I hated?"
"Why you wearin that shirt? That looks stupid!" I heard Andre bullying another student and pulled him into my office. For some reason my comportment became staid, totally in control, creepy. Andre, from now on you will sit in this chair, be quiet and not bother anyone. Shit! I sounded like Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. On the way out, he declares me a bad ass mother fucker, and doesn't come back for weeks. My colleague, Ken, suggests I go to his house to pick him up. Im reluctant to do so because the last time I went to a kids house, I saw a man pressed up against the wall in a full commando outfit holding an automatic rifle. I know I need to make amends, but how?
AMY BOUCHARD ------------------------- "Amadeus Never Gives Me The Blues"
Colleen Moore is singing in a nightclub and a famous comedian is in the audience. He invites her to join his national tour of the Vaudeville circuit. Her dreams of becoming a famous singer are coming true! But she'll have to ask her mother if she can go - she's still in high school and it's 1941.
MARK McGOLDRICK ------------------------------- "Dog People"
You know when you're a newly-paralyzed young man and your dog yanks you out of your wheelchair in the neighbors yard and you're stuck on the ground alone at night waiting to be rescued but there's no one around but your dog -- your dog who caused the problem in the first place -- but really it's your own dang fault, and its getting cold out here and still no one's coming by, and it looks like you have some time out here to ponder things, sitting in the dirt, like how your parents have always been there to rescue your sorry ass?
ADY LADY ----------------------------- "Meditations on Muni"
Ady is pulled out of her reverie by some scuffling sounds on the other side of the bus. It turns out some guy is repeatedly punching another guy in the face. Even though no one else appears to notice, Ady is pretty sure this isn't supposed to be happening. She should do something, right?
