The AWA Gathering is all about having time and space for deeper knowledge exchange that makes a difference to participatory arts. Through sharing and learning from each others experiences, we can tackle sector issues best solved by working together, enriching impact through joint advocacy and action.
Gatherings are always for the wider AWA family, so if you're an organisational member, all your staff, Board members, volunteers and close associates (such as regular freelance artists) as well as you as the key network contact are most welcome! If you're an independent member, please do bring along a collaborator (or two!).
Connectivity, collaboration and supporting a collective voice for the sector is at the heart of this key network event, open to members and close colleagues: collaborators, associates, staff and Board members.
You'll come away feeling you've been able to speak, listen, be provoked, learn something new and will have something to put into action.
The format will be presented provocations, whole group facilitated activities, break out room discussions and feedback.
The May Gathering has a particular focus on WELLBEING and will cover:
- Setting the context - what is going on in the world?
- Finding space to be creative in a fast-moving world and workplace
- Creating wellbeing chains of support
- Navigating the cost of living crisis
- Facilitated networking: connecting with others you would not otherwise encounter in your daily work
