The story revolves arould the Nibelung dwarf Alberich, who steals the Rheingold and renounces love in order to forge a ring so powerful, that with it he could rule the world. Full of gods, giants, maidens, dwarfs, and adventure, Das Rheingold takes us on a journey through the spectacular fantasy world imagined by Carlos Padrissa and his prolific theater group La Fura dels Baus. Blending music, acrobatics, savvy video technology, and props (often formed of human beings), this virtuosic and visually spectacular production turns Wagner's dream of Gesamtkunstwerk (total art work) into a captivating reality.
