Vince the Magician
Vince was born in Brooklyn, New York. At 10 he received his first magic kit as a Christmas present. Not more then a passing fad, he soon lost interest in it. It wasn't until 10 years later at the age of 20 when he returned home from the US Army, and living with his mother in Asbury Park, NJ did the mild interest become a full-fledged one. He was bitten by the proverbial "bug", and has been pursuing it ever since. He credits an old dusty book that he stumbled across in an antique shop written by the Vaudeville era magician Dunninger. He began performing as a street performer on the boardwalk, then back to his hometown, performing in the New York City subways, Central and Washington Square Parks, and South Sea Seaport. Since them Vince has played ever venue possible, from private parties in living rooms and back yards to school assemblies, cruise ships, fairs and festivals. His show is a mixture of comedy, mystery and escapology. He lists Doug Henning and Houdini as his inspirations.
