Baking the Approachable Loaf at Home
Workshop will take place on June 15, 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. We'll cover a full bake of the 100% whole wheat sandwich style Approachable Loaf with our Climate Blend unsifted flour. We will have preferments made and ready to go.
In addition to the full bake the class will include:
Home mill milling your own flour (1 kg).
Commercial stone milling demonstration.
One kilo of Climate Blend flour to bring home (from milling demo).
Roller milling demonstration.
Lunch from the buoy oven.
Bread to bring home.
Hand mix vs machine mix comparison.
After class field walk (optional).
Cost $200. All funds go to support graduate student training at the Breadlab.
