Come enjoy the first fruits of a new collaboration between legendary jazz guitar virtuoso Howard Alden and the brilliant young Almir Côrtes onbandolim(Brazilian mandolin) and guitar, as they present an evening of Brazilian choro and jazz classics. This duologue, also presenting some solo work, will explore the heart and boundaries of two beautiful worlds with authentic insight and improvisational abandon.Two Bay Area masters, 7-string guitarist Ricardo Peixoto and percussionist Brian Rice, will contribute their expert support to a concert that will start your year off right!
