Wake - A play by Carey Crim presented by SeaGlass Theatre
Named "Pick of the Week" by Stage Raw as well as being listed as one of the Top Ten Shows in LA, WAKE by Carey Crim is already delighting audiences in this limited five week run of the West Coast Premiere. Given 5 out of 5 stars and named "Critic's Choice" by Broadway World, WAKE is the poignant, comedic tale of Molly, an agoraphobic mortician who struggles to rejoin the world after a devastating loss. As the Pasadena Press says; "Combining the taboo topic of death with comedy, Crim's play takes her audience on an emotional rollercoaster suppressed sobs are quickly followed by hearty laughs thanks to plenty of humor in this great work directed by Matt Kirkwood." The show runs through May 25th, with a special Mother's Day matinee scheduled which includes a "high tea" in the theatre's outdoor garden space.
