Cross the bridge and walk to the front of the Harris County Jail, where there is a great view of the bayou, Allens Landing Park, and the downtown skyline.
Walk north through the Warehouse District to the Last Concert Cafe. Take a rest stop in this former bordello with a fascinating history. Feel free to purchase a beverage and/or snacks. Restrooms are available.
Follow your guide past warehouses converted into artists' workshops, condominiums, offices, and movie studios to the University of Houston-Downtown campus, stopping for a view of the downtown skyline from the deck overlooking Buffalo Bayou. Restrooms are available.
