Around Downtown
Advance paid reservations are required for all tours.
Meet your guide inside the Visitors Center at City Hall. Learn about the Art Deco design of the Visitors Center and the 1939 City Hall. Restrooms are available.
Walk with your guide through Hermann Square Park to the 1926 Julia Ideson Building, a breathtaking example of Spanish-Mediterranean architecture.
Hop aboard the free Greenlink Connector and ride with your guide to Chevron's downtown campus. Hop off to view a spectacular skyring designed by Cesar Pelli and Frozen Laces, one of only a few Louise Nevelson sculptures in Houston.
All aboard the Greenlink again for a ride to Discovery Green, Houston's 12-acre park. Your guide will lead you to a fun Dubuffet sculpture sitting across from the George R. Brown Convention Center. This is a great opportunity to take photos of the downtown skyline from the east side.
Continue walking with your guide through the park to the Lake House, a casual restaurant with a view of the "Dancing Waters" and the park's one-acre lake. Restrooms are available for customers.
You can end your 90-minute jaunt around downtown at Phoenicia, an international grocery store and cafe, or by taking the Greenlink Connector back to City Hall with your guide.
