AROUSAL and The Lover in Hollywood
This pair of sexy one-acts performed back-to-back makes for daring and provocative theater from Virago Theatre Company! A smash hit in San Francisco, Harold Pinter's "The Lover" and "AROUSAL" by George Pfirrmann and directed by Chloe Bronzan come for 6 shows only to Hollywood's Theatre Asylum Lab, featuring original stars Laura Lundy-Paine and John Steen.
"AROUSAL" introduces a Ukrainian prostitute and a virgin with Asperger's Syndrome. It's a comedy about sex, scrabble and the surprising key to our deepest desires. Funny, surprising and delightfully playful, "AROUSAL" won Best of the San Francisco Fringe Festival (2010). "The Lover" is a sneak-peek into the world of an English married couple with one hell of a sexy secret.
"The Lover" keeps the audience guessing in a sophisticated game of cat and mouse, with just enough left to the imagination. Harold Pinter's sensuous masterpiece about seduction and power is nominated for four Broadway World Awards, including John Steen for Best Actor, Laura Lundy-Paine for Best Actress, & Best Director, Chloe Bronzan. Bay Area favorite Steve Budd plays the Milkman Jan 10-12th, and Los Angeles actor Michael Vega plays the role Jan 17-19th.
