An outdoor jazz festival! Jazz & Oysters returns after a 2 year COVID hiatus.
Jazz & Oysters will be held on August 13, 2022 at the Port of Peninsula where fresh harvested oysters and other shellfish are brought in daily. Come celebrate, listen to our line-up of amazing performers, dance, enjoy delicious food, drinks and the spectacular view of the bay and Willapa Hills!
Proof of vaccinations and masks may be required. We appreciate your consideration of others.
The final decision on this will be made shortly before the event.The ticket purchaser will be notified by email.
2022 will feature:
12 pm Noon
The Ilwaco High School Jazz Band will kick off the event. This event is a fund raiser for the Water Music Society and to provide support to music education in our schools.
1 pm Seattles Gypsy Jazz band Ranger and the Re-Arrangers evoke the spirit of a Paris Cafe and the energy of a Romani campsite with their version of Hot Club Swing. Their repertoire includes swing standards, traditional European Melodies, the music of Django Reinhardt and Rangers originals.
3pm will bring The Ellen Whyte Ensemble to the stage. Known for her astonishing vocals she moves among genres from blues to jazz to funk and ballads. She has won numerous awards for her work, including consideration for two Grammy award nominations in 1999 and most recently in 2009
for Four Way Stop.
5pm Mel Brown B3 Quartet. Simply the best in classic Blues and Jazz created by Mel Brown and his incredible band made up of amazing well known musicians.

Please no outside food or beverages.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the festival grounds.Enjoy famed Willapa Bay grilled oysters, fresh grilled sausages, burgers and other picnic style foods.
Wine, beer, and other beverages will also be available.
Kid friendly!
Dress for the weather.
Bring chairs or a blanket and enjoy.
Dogs permitted on leash only.
Tickets go on sale online on May 15th. Also available at the door the day of the event.
