Re:Sound 2022 Workshop II featuring Émilie Fortin
Join us in-person for Re:Sound 2022, June 9-12th. Re:Sound is an annual new and experimental music festival that brings together and showcases pioneers in the arts with diverse programming of music and workshops at venues throughout Cleveland.
Our fourth Re:Sound event, our second of two workshops features Émilie Fortin.
With several years of collaborations with composers and performers, Émilie Fortin always aims to push the technical limits of the trumpet. As an active improviser, she developed her own language with different accessories. In this workshop, she will provide an overview of the extended techniques of the trumpet and discuss the use of mutes and objects you can use to modify the sound. Both composers and performers are welcome!
