Our second Re:Sound 2022 festival concert features performances by:
Eunbi Kim
SLOWSPIN
EUNBI KIM Known for creating performances that express dreamlike liquid elegance (Times Union), pianist Eunbi Kim designs concerts that compel audiences to meditate on the parts of themselves that are deeply buried. Her adventurous recitals, cast in venues across the United States, are characterized by their vividly personal themes ranging from mental illness to familial memories, and have received international recognition in television and in print.
Eunbi performs selections from her forthcoming album "It Feels Like," taking us through the many cycles that bring one to a state of radical healing and catharsis. Her program includes commissioned works by Angélica Negrón, Pauchi Sasaki, and Sophia Jani- taking us through rituals of processing trauma, making sense of your life, and coming into your womanhood with a search towards the future.
SLOWSPIN SLOWSPIN / Zeerak Ahmed is a US-based Pakistani artist, curator and educator. Trained as an Eastern Classical vocalist, she performs songs of longing and produces dream-folk, experimental-electronic music. Homeland Here Now, is an improvisational performance piece: a uniquely fragile soundscape composed for the critical immaterial state of the ever-changing migrant body.
