The Actors' Gym
EPAD is delighted to offer our network a session with Edinburgh Acting School's Actors' Gym - a workout for trained actors and those with some professional acting experience.
The EAS Actors' Gym aims to facilitate stamina maintenance, technique practice, and self-directed scene study in a welcoming and non-judgemental environment facilitated by working theatre-makers. It's also a great way to build your contacts, stay informed and be part of a supportive community of actors. Perhaps most importantly, its a space to play and give free rein to your imagination.
The Gym is run by Jen McGregor, a director, playwright and performer who believes wholeheartedly in the importance of artistic community. It operates on a weekly basis in Marchmont, with drop-in places available to accommodate changing schedules.
EPAD is delighted to be working with EAS to offer this one-off taster session and we extend a welcome to Edinburgh-based actors, whether you're new to the city of have been here for years; If you're keen to meet fellow actors and possible future collaborators you're very welcome.
The 2-hour Actors' Gym session will be followed by an opportunity to chat to your peers over a cuppa.
EPAD supports Edinburgh-based professionals working in the performing arts. As for all our events, there is no charge to attend this session.
