Feedback for All
Feedback is the real moment learning begins. Knowing how your artistic peers receive your true story yields clues to how to specifically improve structure and add important details you may not even know are there!
This class will give an intensive feedback experience without all the school lectures. You know how the Hero's Journey works! We'll weave deeper discussions about specific subjects that come up in our sessions. Jill Howe (hey, that's me!) is the producer of Story Sessions, resident instructor of storytelling at Newberry Library, with a Masters in Teaching. I'll be the shepherd of the group, teaching feedback etiquette and making sure the feedback remains a positive experience for ALL. Walk away from writing classes that make you feel artistically broke and uninspired. Start with kindness and structure, end up with amazing stories you can be proud of!
After the feedback sessions, you will be added to a Facebook group of your peer storytellers and continue the conversations on your own. Community is essential for fast improvement!
