New Candy's:
Hailing from Venice, Italy, New Candys formed in 2008. Described as dark modern rock'n'roll, the band combines noisy, brooding sounds with distinct melodies while displaying a dynamic and symbiotic connection between their music and meticulously crafted visual imagery.
SOYSV:
Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor was originally formed under the name SikSik Nation in 2006 initially pursuing a harder blues-rock sound. In 2008, they released Eight Styles to the Unholy under the SikSik Nation moniker before deciding it was time for a change. The band began to explore a darker, more atmospheric sound, tempering their blues with looser garage/psych.
Paint Thinner:
Paint Thinner's sound is perfectly described as dark and stormy the opening words of Distortion the first song on their demo cassette. Shifting between punk and noise, Paint Thinner is reminiscent of the 70s U.K. post-punk English band Wire or even Detroit's own Protomartyr.
