American Alien is a devised theatre piece, created by LAPC Theatre Professor Shaheen Vaaz with Pierce College Students and Community. It will run in the Performing Arts Mainstage from May 6-15, 2022 American Alien is a collaboration about Immigration in America now. From inception to completion, our student and community team, led by director Shaheen Vaaz, will bring to life a complex and dynamic piece examining Immigration in our world. Through interviews, improvisations, and explorations in our neighboring communities, through spoken word and found music, we will bring you an innovative, original new theatre work that speaks to our shared obsession and collective pain surrounding immigration. The play opens in Friday, May 6 and continues through Sunday, May 15. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Please Note our COVID Protocols: The LA Community College District and LAPC Theatre are requiring that patrons wear masks that cover their nose and mouth at all times while in the theatre building (including the seating areas and lobbies).
