Bl'ast!, Final Conflict (Ashes To Ashes Lineup!), Systematic Abuse & Evacuate
BL'AST! FINAL CONFLICT (ASHES TO ASHES LINEUP!) SYSTEMATIC ABUSE EVACUATE $12 IN ADVANCE / $15 DAY OF SHOW DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
BL'AST began in 1982-83 and released its first album, The Power of Expression, in 1985. They recorded the album three times before releasing it. They first were signed by Green World Records, and toured for the album in the U.S. and played many west coast shows. BL'AST! wrote It's In My Blood and the group then caught the attention of SST Records, who signed them up for their next release, It's In My Blood in 1987. That same year, a 7-inch was released, including a cover of Alice Cooper's "School's Out". They began playing many West Coast shows and touring the U.S.. Blast! shared the stage with many of the late 70`s early 80`s bands from Exploited to Slayer etc.... They also were releasing new music on Santa Cruz Skateboard videos. SST Records and Santa Cruz Skateboards began shared videos and merch bridged by Blast! as Neider had worked for the skateboard company for many years. The band's third release for SST was Take The Manic Ride, which was released in 1989. Was recorded by Dave Rat. Blast! reaching new musical boundaries that got heavier and manic as it became an influence for many bands to come. Cooper in 1989 was replaced by Ron Isa for the Manic Ride tour, and then Ron Isa was replaced by John Schuler for some BL'AST! shows and post-Manic Ride demos. Cliff Dinsmore was not in the group sometime in 1990 and co-founded the band Spaceboy. The rest continued on without him, with Neider taking over vocal duties. BL'AST! officially ceased to exist in December 1990 and changed their name to Blackout (releasing one 7-inch under that name) and then again to LAB (who also put out a 7-inch EP, as well as a hard-to-find four-song CD you could only get along with a Santa Cruz Skateboards order), continuing into the late 90s playing many shows with Fu Manchu. Former Kyuss and Fu Manchu drummer Brant Bjork moved to Santa Cruz to briefly join LAB before joining up with Fu Manchu. BL'AST! briefly reunited in 2001, playing a handful of shows on the West Coast. They were also planning to record again, but the band decided not to before this materialized. Until, 2013 Where BLAST! and Southern Lord Records teamed up to re lease some unearthed recording sessions that includes Alice and Chains front mans lost guitar tracks. The Album titled BLOOD! Soon to here more this year of more releases including a long awaited new record with heavy line up.
FINAL CONFLICT: ASHES TO ASHES LINEUP FEATURING THE 3 ORIGINAL MEMBERS: JEFF HARP, RON MARTINEZ & WARREN RENFROW. Founded by Jeff Harp in 1983 Final Conflict has been a long standing staple of LA punk rock. Much time has passed, members come and go but the love for the music has never ceased. Jeff has remained the foundation of the band, never waning in his devotion to Final Conflict and it's music. Like any family, siblings will argue/fight and FC's volatile history has never been a secret. However after many years, members from the 85 - 88 line up have decided to play together again. This is something we are looking forward to, we weren't just band members, but brothers, more shows and good times ahead.
SYSTEMATIC ABUSE: Formed out of the ashes of The Resentments, Societies Victim, Caustic Uproar, and The Lugers. An Idea that started inside of a garage in Imperial Beach C.A. in 2008. Since then We've been creating our own blend of RAW HARDCORE PUNK with THRASH influences. A few of us have been doing this for over 25 years and have no plans of changing the formula or quitting anytime soon.
EVACUATE: Formed out of the ashes of notorious hardcore punk bands The Virus, Cheap Sex and The Lab Rats, Southern California band Evacuate has caught the attention of fans worldwide since their formation in 2007. With a strong sense of urgency the band unleashed its blistering 12 track debut album. Propelled by social consciousness the band spews its vengeance on a number of issues that are rarely addressed in today's music. Powerful sing along songs are the vehicle the band uses to dispatch dire messages of a failed economy, global warming, war and much more while also offering a glimpse of hope to its listeners at a time when it is much needed. 2009 found the band back in the studio to record the critically acclaimed "Endless War" ep, followed by the band's first tour of Europe in October, 2010. The band is currently wrapping up the songs for a 2nd full length LP entitled "2012" with a targeted release date of Dec 1, 2010. With a wide variety of influences such as Minor Threat, GBH, Slapshot, and the Sex Pistols Evacuate provides its own unique delivery providing the listener with the immediacy that the band is so determined to get across. After multiple lineup changes following the bands first performance at Rebellion Fest 2013 in Europe, we are back in the studio working on new material for our upcoming 7" we are hoping will be out in time to promote on our West coast tour With The Virus and Bad Engrish early 2014.
