The ChalkFest event transforms The 400 Block sidewalks into a colorful display of drawings. Since 2004, this annual art festival has showcased artists of all ages and wowed art enthusiasts who observe the creation process and enjoy the finish art.
CHALKFEST SCHEDULE:
Saturday, June 25th, 9am - 8pm and Sunday, Junes 26th, 9am - 4pm
Pre-registration is required. Costs $22. Chalk spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. No cancellations or refunds. Each artist receives a box of 48 pastels and an assigned space. Go to www.wausauevents.org/chalkfest for more participant rules.
SPACE SIZES:
SMALL - (4 x 4 to 4 x 6)
MEDIUM - (5 x 6 to 6 x 7)
LARGE - (6 x 7 to 7 x 9)
Registration for Featured Artists begins April 24th with a Code. If you are a featured artists you will receive the code that week to choose your square. Registration for all other participants opens at 9pm on May 1st 9pm.
CHILDREN'S CHALKFEST SCHEDULE:
Saturday, June 25th, 9am - 4pm and Sunday, June 26th, 10am - 4pm
No registration required. Kids under 12 can explore their artistic talents with two options.
Option 1 - For $3 you get a box of colored chalk and the use of a small chalkboard
Option 2 - For $10 you get a set of 12 pastels and a sheet of paper you can take home
****2022 UPDATES****
Participant support tents will be allowed in designated areas set up approximately 10 feet from artist spaces. Artists can have a 10 tent, small shade awnings/umbrellas and other coverings over their space as long as it does not infringe on neighboring artists.
