Macrame Wall Hangings with Katie Haws
Everwood Farmstead Foundation is proud to present the Artist Workshop "Macrame Wall Hangings" with Katie Haws on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 from 10 am - 3:00 pm!
Join Fiber Artist Katie Haws for a macrame wall hanging workshop! Come ready to explore the Farmstead to gather natural sticks for your base, along with learning basic knotting techniques to create your very own medium sized piece to take home. All materials will be provided by the instructor. Class size is limited to 15 participants.
Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, fiber artist Katie Haws creates one of a kind macrame and woven wall hangings. Katie received her BFA in Fibers from the University of Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts in 2014. She taught herself Macrame in 2018 during the final months of her pregnancy as a way to stay on her feet, maintain her creativity and explore the meditative practice involved in repeatedly tying knots.
The price for this Workshop is $80 a person.
Participants should bring:
* Picnic lunch
* Comfortable clothes and sensible shoes based on the weather
