The Bagboys

COVID Protocol: Guests are asked to take a rapid COVID test at their home before coming to the show Saturday night. If positive or if you are not feeling well, obviously, please stay home and we will refund your ticket. Masks are not required in the house.

Dress code is smart casual. BYOB and snacks. We provide water, ice, and glasses for wine and beverages.

The Bagboys are a historic part of the Boston area acoustic music scene, where they have performed weekly for over 25 years. Harvey Bag (bass, vocals) and Frank Drake (guitar, vocals) are prolific composers and keep the band well-stocked with brand new old-time songs and Americana future classics. On the bass, Harvey plays and sings with the soul of the cowboy singers of yore. Frank is a multi-instrumentalist with a deep background in jazz, which he brings to his innovative chord voicings. Gretchen Bowder (banjo, vocals) sparkles on an array of classic and lesser-known numbers, from Appalachian melodies to favorites of the golden age of American songwriting and even bossa nova. A lifelong professional musician with a diverse musical background, Jon Ross (mandolin, dobro, vocals) plays with drive, melodicism, and soul. The Bagboys bring humor and exceptional musicianship to every show.
