His charactersgamblers, hustlers, actors, and gangsterswere the inspiration for the Broadway classic, Guys and Dolls. Larry Paulson, Todd Licea, Peter Dylan O'Conner, and Patti Cohenour read "This Is the Way Old "Casey" Ran," "The Life of Babe Ruth," "The Brain Goes Home," "Bloodhounds of Broadway," and "Earthquake."
