Michael Winograd is a clarinetist, composer, teacher, record producer, and community organizer living in Brooklyn. He tours the world with his klezmer band The Honorable Mentshn, co-leads the borderless global fusion group Sandaraa with Pakistani singing sensation Zeb Bangash, is a member of the Pneuma Quartet, Tarras Band, and Yiddish Art Trio, records for and plays stadiums with Vulfpeck, and has shared the stage with a veritable whos who of todays international klezmer scene. Michael is often busy composing and recording music for film and TV, and he recently was the arranger for a program of Yiddish cabaret music of Helsinki, produced by Lorin Sklamberg of the Klezmatics. Michael is a founder of the Yiddish New York festival and was the artistic director of KlezKanada from 2016 to 2021.
