ABOUT THE FILM : Synopsis A gifted actor, Gary K. traveled the globe playing the male leads in all the great Broadway musical productions, logging more performances of Annie's Daddy Warbucks than any other performer. Gary's multiple savage addictions spun him out of control, and he lost his starring role, his career, his family and almost lost his life. The film tells the story of Gary's descent into addiction and chronicles 10 years of Gary's odyssey getting sober, touring the U.S. portraying AA Co- Founder Bill W. , a near relapse and eventually relocating from New York City to Delay Beach, Florida, where he is helping to battle addiction and save lives as an addiction counselor teaching 12 Step Recovery at the epicenter of America's opioid plague. The Film also tells the story of 12 Step Recovery and shows the steps being applied through Gary's life in recovery. Gary K. shows us that the struggle to save lives is what keeps him sober, one step at a time. This film has won accolades at film festivals throughout North America - including The Reel Recovery Film Festival, The Newburyport Film Festival, Woods Hole Film Festival, New Jersey Doc Festival, the Vancouver Independent Film Festival, and the Chautauqua Institution Documentary Festival.
