LIVING THE DREAM
Dr. King sacrificed his life in pursuit of freedom and equality for all humans. His life work and legacy inspired movements, changed hearts, and birthed leaders that are now examples of Dr. King's Dream many decades after his physical death.
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
Pensacola has produced its own great leaders and on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at New World Landing (Doors 7:30pm/Event 8:00pm) we will honor a select few who carry the torch of Dr. King's legacy. Last years honorees were Dr. Alexa Canady, Robert Hill, Bentina Terry, Dr. Roderick Bennett, Rana`Martin, Pastor Lonnie D. Wesley III, and Quinton Studer.
The Motown Tribute Band is returning this year again to highlight the social impact that music had in inspiring, unifying, and creating solidarity during the Civil Rights Movement.
