Wild Honey Foundation Presents Thomas Walsh with special guests Chris Price & Nelson Bragg
We are back in the summer of 2022 to support our ongoing effort aid the autism community, keep our Wild Honey Family safe and secure with the George Bailey Relief Fund, and build a performing arts center and village for our children.   Since the pandemic, Jacob Rock, my now 18 year old non-verbal son, has learned to type, and poetry, movie reviews, a descriptions of symphonic music have poured forth.   Through our future efforts, we aim to nurture the same creativity in other non-verbal members of the special needs community.   All the backyard shows, the performance of Jacob's collaboration with Rob Laufer Unforgettable Sunrise, and any future events will support this effort.

The show starts at 4 pm. There will likely be another Wild Honey performer on the bill.   There will be pasta for the $40 tickets.  Just music for the $20.tickets.  Doors open at 330.  Plenty of parking on the street. BYO alcohol.

THOMAS WALSH BIOGRAPHY **********

An Irish band that's won an international cult following among fans of classic British Invasion and power pop sounds, PUGWASH was formed by Thomas Walsh, a serious fan of E.L.O, XTC, THE KINKS and THE BEATLES, who soon found himself earning the respect of some of those very heroes. Born in 1969 in Drimnagh, a suburb of Dublin, Walsh was inspired to pick up the guitar when he was 12 after watching his brother play, and as confidence grew, he took over a dormant wooden shed in his backyard that he filled with makeshift recording gear and used as a studio. After Walsh had committed hundreds of songs to tape, he submitted some of his material to Hot Press, Ireland's leading rock magazine, who declared Walsh's tape Demo of the Year.

Walsh then formed PUGWASH as a vehicle for his songs.

After landing a deal with the Irish independent label Velo Records, PUGWASH recorded their debut album, ALMOND TEA, and just a few weeks after its release in 1999, Hot Press put it on their list of best albums of the millennium, coming in at a very respectable number 23. After touring as an opening act for pop legends GLEN TILLBROOK (Squeeze) and JASON FALKNER (AIR, Paul McCartney, St. Vincent, Beck) the band returned to the bedsit to record their second album, 2002's ALMANAC.

The third PUGWASH album, JOLLITY, was released in 2005 by 1969 Records; the album featured Walsh accompanied by a long list of guest musicians, including Dave Gregory of XTC. The album also included the song "Nice to be Nice," which so impressed the BEACH BOYS founder

BRIAN WILSON that he insisted on meeting WALSH when a U.K. tour brought him to Dublin.

2008 release, Eleven Modern Antiquities, once again saw Walsh joined by a copious number of guests, including Dave Gregory and Andy Partridge of XTC, Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy, and American pop heroes Michael Penn and Jason Falkner.

Andy Partridge declared in an interview, "PUGWASH, at their best, are almost Beatle-like in their greatnessthey are that good," and negotiated to reissue their early albums through his own Ape House label. Ape House subsequently released a career-spanning "Best of Pugwash" compilation, 2009's Giddy.

For 2011's The Olympus Sound, Pugwash unveiled a new band lineup, and the album also featured piano work from BEN FOLDS.  Despite their growing cult following, PUGWASH had seen very little of their material distributed in the United States, and the respected U.S. OSCAR and GRAMMY winning reissue label Omnivore Records came to the rescue in the fall of 2014, releasing the compilation A Rose In A Garden Of Weeds, which was assembled with Walsh's participation.

In September 2015, Omnivore issued Play This Intimately (As if among friends), which included cameos from RAY DAVIES of THE KINKS and Neil Hannon, as well as a contribution from Walsh's hero JEFF LYNNE of E.L.O who had become a friend of Walsh.

The next project, 2017's Silverlake saw Walsh team up with JASON FALKNER, who produced the session and played most of the instruments.

During his downtime from PUGWASH , Walsh and friend Neil Hannon performed and recorded as The Duckworth Lewis Method, specializing in songs about cricket. Both subsequent albums reached the UK TOP 40 ALBUM CHARTS and the debut self-titled release was nominated for a highly prestigious IVOR NOVELLO AWARD for songwriting in 2010.

Walsh is currently recording the new PUGWASH which will feature Michael Penn, Matt Berry, Neil Hannon, Dave Gregory and Joe Elliott amongst others. All the while the re-releasing of his back catalogue on vinyl and CD gathers pace. A career spanning SONY RECORDS release in Japan entitled 'Popularity Pending' is out there plus first time vinyl releases for 'Jollity' and 'Eleven Modern Antiquities' as well as writing for the hit Disney + animated series 'The Ghost & Molly McGee'.
